Job Description

Carnivore Keeper

This 5 day placement (Monday 9th March – Friday 13th March 2026) will provide an opportunity to work with carnivores in a safari setting at West Midlands Safari Park. Our carnivore keepers care for a collection of 5 species, dholes, Sumatran tigers, African lions, African painted dogs and Cheetah. By shadowing our team you will see a range of wonderful species and have opportunities to observe many tasks that the keepers undertake.

You will join in with a range of keeping duties such as:

Cleaning out

Preparing feed

Observing patrol

Preparing enrichment

This placement is suited to someone who is passionate about carnivores and looking to gain experience with different species than they are used to and/or working in a safari park setting.
