Example routine for each day:

  • Assist heads of section on the park to prepare for opening.
  • Assist the Bird Team running flying displays for the day – weighing birds, preparing diets, shadowing on flying birds during displays and preparing/ delivering enrichment.
  • Shadowing other daily activities on our timetable including experiences, keeper talks and visitor engagement opportunities.
  • Observing and supporting with training birds.
  • Preparing and observing enrichment.
  • Supporting with bird welfare assessments.
  • Supporting with clean down routine and assisting with end of day checks.

There will be lots of opportunity to spend time with multiple members of our team, learn about our conservation and research projects and work with a range of bird of prey species. It may also be possible to arrange time with our education team.

When applying please include a covering letter explaining why you feel you’d benefit from this placement (and if you have any special areas of interest) along with a copy of your CV.
