Between the 9th February 2026 and the 4th March 2026, we are undergoing a large enrichment project at the Bristol Skills Academy.  During this time, we will be decking out both the indoor and outdoor areas for three species with a whole load of enrichment, climbing structures, dens and feeders, and building the final part of the ferret enclosure.

The project will be run in three blocks.

Block 1: 9th Feb – 13th Feb

Block 2: 18th Feb – 22nd Feb

Block 3: 28th Feb – 4th March

We are offering you the opportunity to come and take part in this build, working on all parts of the project and learning as you go.  At this stage, we can’t guarantee accommodation will be available; however, we might have some space depending on the dates you can attend, so please do contact us if you are interested in joining us.

We are able to accommodate someone for each block, working a minimum of two days.  This could be someone who wants to do all three blocks, or a different person on each.

Please be aware that we will be working both inside and outside during this project, no matter what the weather is doing, and the outside section will be on uneven ground.  The project will be quite physical, with lots of construction of individual items that will then be lifted by hand into place, and a final couple of days of moving a LOT of sand into place.

It is going to be an exciting project in a brand new environment, and it promises to be an exciting one.
