Job Description
Colchester Zoo are excited to offer a two-day placement working alongside the primate team. This section includes a wide range of species, including three species of lemur, black headed spider monkeys, buffy headed capuchin, cherry crowned mangabeys, chimpanzees and Bornean orangutan.
The candidate will have the opportunity to help with the daily husbandry of the species, including cleaning and maintaining enclosures, preparation and distribution of diets and assisting in the provision of enrichment, with the ability to thoroughly discuss enrichment on section. There will also be the chance to observe some of the positive reinforcement training carried out with the species on section.
This is an amazing opportunity to network with the passionate and knowledgeable team, helping to share ideas and gain skills in working with a large variety of primate species.
